Stewardship

2025 Pledge Form

Stewardship is how we use our God-given gifts; it is how we use our talents, our time, and our treasure. Stewardship is how we live out our calling as followers of Christ and it is what we do after we say that we believe.  All giving, that of ourselves, as well as our financial resources, are in response to God's goodness and generosity.  God gives, and then we respond, and we spend our lives learning and growing in our responses (PCUSA Stewardship Manual).

Stewardship is a lifelong process.  From volunteering occasionally to giving annually, the act of being a steward can be done in a variety of ways.  Here at Northminster, we support our congregation, community, and the larger church organization through our gifts.

Giving Options

There are many ways you can give financially to Northminster Presbyterian Church.

Charitable trusts and annuities, life income gifts, and bequests are other forms of giving. These kinds of gifts may provide tax advantages, and in some cases income, to the donor and beneficiaries. Those considering such gifts should consult with a financial advisor or attorney. Please be sure to let us know if you have already provided for NPC in your will.

Memorial gifts and Honor gifts are made in memory of or in honor of members of family or friends. The church will send a notice of your gift, without indicating the dollar amount, to the family of the deceased or the person being honored. A review of memorial and honor funds is made periodically for appropriate use of the funds if there was not an agreed upon designation in advance.

NPC accepts gifts of property and other tangible items for which it has direct use. These gifts are accepted after consideration by the church leadership. Gifts that are accepted will be acknowledged through a receipt from the church for tax purposes; such gifts are not included on the annual cash giving statements issued by the church, as the value is assigned by the donor.

Contact the Financial Manager for instructions on transmitting shares of stock electronically to our brokerage account. The contribution is valued at the fair market value of the stock certificates at the time of transfer. Please let the financial office know what stocks will be given to NPC. Some people can realize tax benefits through gifts of stock. Please contact your tax advisor or attorney for more info.

Cash and checks may be given during Sunday services, mailed, dropped off at the church office, or through e-giving. Giving envelopes are available in the pews. Dated envelopes are ordered for people who pledge if desired.
